Kristy Cox, known as “Australia’s Queen of Bluegrass” for good reason, joins forces with local Nashville hard-driving bluegrass band Grasstime for live shows and touring.
Cox has won the Australian CMA award for ‘Best Bluegrass Recording’ six times and been inducted into the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame. Praised for her performance and songwriting capabilities, Kristy has been shortlisted in the International Bluegrass Music Awards the past five years for Emerging Artist of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year. She was a finalist in the 2019 IBMA Momentum Awards for Vocalist of the Year.
From a young age, Kristy has captured attention with her distinct singing style and positive outlook—going on to open shows for major acts and appearing on television and festival stages across Australia, Europe, and the USA.
Grasstime are known for tight and soulful vocals with sweet multi-part harmonies. Each performance is filled with high-energy, traditional bluegrass music fun. The group is on a mission to keep bluegrass music and its heritage alive.
Tallying up more than 490 performances in 8 years together, Grasstime returned three times to Bluegrass Thursday Night at the legendary Ryman Auditorium and marks its 8th year in residence performing at Arrington Vineyards.
